Will there be transportation services provided?

Updated 11/22/23: YES! We are pleased to share that we have secured a large bus for transportation if you choose to use. We'd love for everyone to enjoy themselves and not drive!

Saturday, November 25, 2023:

Departure from hotel to venue. Bus will leave PROMPTLY at times listed below:

  • 3:10 p.m. Best Western Plus Sebastian Hotel & Suites: 1655 US-1, Sebastian, FL 32958
  • 3:30 p.m. Captain Hiram's Resort: 1580 US-1, Sebastian, FL 32958
  • 9:45 p.m. Tree House Vero Beach (Venue) to Captain Hiram's Resort and Best Western Sebastian Hotel & Suites.

Alternative options can be made through transportation apps such as Uber and Lyft and hotel to venue is approximately 6.5 miles / ~12 minutes.

Does the Venue have on-site parking?

Yes, there is ample parking to accommodate personal vehicles or drop off services like Uber/Lyft. However, please see schedule for bus service that will be provided to our guests for safe travels.

What time should I arrive? What time will the event end?

Please give yourself enough time to be able to take a seat and relax before the festivities! The ceremony is scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m.

Parking is right outside of the ceremony area, so it is a very short walk.

There is a strict end time of 10:00 p.m. due to noise ordinances. For anyone that wants to extend the evening, we'll be heading back to Captain Hiram's.

What should I wear to ceremony?

SATURDAY: Ceremony will be held outdoors, on grass. Reception will be held under a covered outdoor reception space.

Semi-formal/Cocktail/Wedding-Casual all acceptable. We want you to show up looking and feeling your best to have a great time with us!

  • Ladies - Semi-formal cocktail dresses, proper sundresses, midi dress, and dressy jumpsuits are all appropriate attire. Since the ceremony is on the grass, please choose your shoes accordingly! No jeans or white dresses, please.
  • Men - Suits, blazer, button-down shirt, and dress slacks are all appropriate attire. No jeans, t-shirts, or polo/golf shirts, please.
  • Weather Forecast - We recommend dressing according to the weather. The average temperatures range in late November are 62° - 78°. Sunset will be at 5:26 pm EST.

We suggest checking the forecast closer to the date as Florida weather can have a mind of it's own.

    

What should I wear Friday night (if attending mixer)?

    FRIDAY NIGHT: If you're able to join us for the Welcome Mixer on Friday night, it will be outside on the open-air back deck, overlooking the Indian River Lagoon.

Semi-casual attire suggested.

  • Ladies - Sundresses, midi dress, jumpsuits, khakis, nice jeans. We'll be on a back dock, so flats and wedges are probably best for shoe attire.
    • Men - Button-down shirt, polo/golf shirt, khakis or khaki shorts, nice jeans.

    Where should I book hotel accomodations?

    1. We have two (2) hotel options to choose from that have a special group rate.
    2. Go to the menu on top of this website.
    3. Click on "Accommodations".
    4. You will find both hotel options and instructions to book a room at the group rate.
    5. For either hotel, you must call to make the reservation under the group block.
    6. The hotels are only 0.3 miles away from each other and <7 miles away from the Venue (Tree House Vero Beach).

    Are children invited?

    You know that both of us LOVE kids. However, due to space limitations, we regret that we cannot extend invites to your children. We are expecting a full house of adults and have limited seating.

    We hope you can still attend and use this evening as a night off to enjoy our wedding. We greatly appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time to come and celebrate with us, kid-free.

    Please reach out to bride or groom if you need any babysitting referrals in town.

    Am I allowed to bring a date?

    Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate a plus one for every guest. If you received a plus one, it will be under your name when you RSVP online.

    How do I RSVP and when?

    RSVPs are accepted online, there is no need to mail anything in.

    Go to the menu on top of this website and click on "RSVP" for further instructions.

    We kindly ask you to RSVP by September 25th, 2023 or if you confidently know whether you can or cannot attend our celebration sooner, feel free to let us know earlier.

    • You are more than welcome (and encouraged) to take photos, but we request that during the wedding ceremony you are unplugged and in the moment so that our wedding photographer can get the best possible shots without the interference of other flashes or mobile screens.

    I'm visiting from out of town, what should I do with my free time?

    There's so much to do during your visit and it all depends on how far you want to drive and what you're interested in doing/seeing. Here are a few suggestions of some things to do in the nearby area.

    

    A few Beach Options : 1) Wabasso Beach Park has wide, quiet beaches and is perfect for swimming. 2) Golden Sands Beach Park is traditional, with lifeguards and a picnic area. It has dressing facilities, restrooms, and showers. It's a good place to snorkel or to Scuba dive. 3) Jaycee Park, with more than eight acres of oceanfront, is perfect for family gatherings and has a playground, a boardwalk, and a large picnic area as well as a restaurant. 4) Humiston Beach Park is located in the middle of Vero Beach's shopping district. All year long, this four-acre park has arts and crafts shows in the park and numerous festivals.

    

    Capt Hirams (1580 US-1, Sebastian, FL 32958)- This is where the main wedding room block is and if you book a room, they have kayaks, paddle boards, and bicycle beach cruisers included in your $15 resort fee. They also have water cruises on the Indian River three times a day, call for more information. They are an Island Style resort on the Indian River. Located in Sebastian, only 7 minutes from Tree House (Venue). Restaurants, Bars, & Live Music on a Sand Bar!

    

    McKee Botanical Gardens (350 US-1, Vero Beach, FL 32962) - For the plant lovers- a winding trail amongst gorgeous mature gardens. For families with young children- they've got a great outdoor play area.

    

    Vero Beach Farmers Market only on Saturday mornings 8am-12pm/noon (Corner of Ocean Drive and Dahlia Lane, across from Humiston Park, 3000 Ocean Drive, Vero Beach, FL 32963) Pet-friendly outdoor Farmers Market on Ocean Drive is a popular spot for locals and visitors. (Pets must be leashed at all times.) Fresh healthy foods, locally grown produce, horticultural products, baked breads & pastries, botanicals and a variety of unique goods are nicely displayed in a lively market atmosphere with live music. Across the street is Humiston Park, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean - while quaint shops and restaurants are a stroll from the market.

    

    Sebastian Saltwater Marina & Lodge (1732 Indian River Dr, Sebastian, FL 32958) - On-site jet ski rentals, boat rentals, and fishing charters are the perfect way to make the most of your time with us. Jet ski and boat rentals allow you to explore the many nearby islands and sandbars, allowing you to discover the hidden gems of the area.

    

    Riverview Park (600 U.S. Highway 1, Sebastian, FL 32958): In addition to the major events held at Riverview Park, you will also find the Splash Pad, Veteran’s War Memorial, sand volley ball courts, picnic pavilions, and the twin piers for observation of the river or fishing. Riverview Park is also the starting point for the scenic walkways, which follow along the shores of the Riverfront District. With its mix of open space and oak-covered walkways, Riverview Park offers panoramic views of the Indian River and recreational opportunities for everyone.

    

    Salty Brine Charters - Shhh, this is a secret... fishing in Vero is off the charts. And these are some of the best local Captains. If you book a charter, I'm sure you could EASILY twist the bride and grooms arm to go out with you!

    

    Mel Fisher's Treasures - Historic Shipwreck Recovery (1322 US Highway • Sebastian, FL 32958) - Mel Fisher's Treasures is the world leader in historic shipwreck recovery and the source for authentic shipwreck treasure!

    

    Earl's Hideaway Lounge and Tiki Bar (1405 Indian River Dr, Sebastian, FL 32958) - Long-running biker hangout "dive bar" on the river featuring an open-air tiki bar, live blues & grill fare.

    

    Walking Tree Brewery (3209 Dodger Rd, Vero Beach, FL 32960) - A favorite local brewery in a large industrial space. A great choice for enjoying Vero like the locals.

    

    Ocean Grill (1050 Beachland Blvd, Vero Beach, FL 32963) - A local favorite dinner spot, set inside a former officers' club, this light-filled spot joins ocean views with seafood & steaks.

    

    Costa d'Este Beach Resort & Spa (3244 Ocean Dr, Vero Beach, FL 32963) - Want to enjoy an elevated experience? Drive to Gloria Estefan's hotel, find street parking or hand over your keys to the valet. Head to the Cabana Bar, their outdoor poolside and enjoy an ocean breeze while sipping on a beverage of choice and enjoy a delicious oceanfront lunch or casual dinner. Slip out back for a walk on the beach.

    

    Kimpton Vero Beach Hotel & Spa (3500 Ocean Dr, Vero Beach, FL 32963) - This is the additional oceanside hotel that has a great restaurant called Heaton's out back with an oceanview for some Seaside Sips and Snacks. Find street parking or hand over your keys to the valet here as well. You will also find one of the top spa experiences in the area at White Orchid Vero Beach Spa if you're looking for a special treat.
